AI-powered threat detection and automated response platform

GuardDog AI, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, delivers a hybrid hardware-software security platform designed to provide autonomous network defense and rapid incident response. It is different from pure and has been described as close to an AI IPS.

Its core technology, the DCX Vulnerability + Isolation system, detects exploits and attacks in milliseconds, automatically isolating threats without requiring human intervention. The platform is powered by the company’s cloud-based Autonomous Incident Response (AiR) engine, which uses proprietary AI models to learn from emerging threats and maintain real-time protection across distributed environments.

In addition to its software capabilities, GuardDog deploys physical “Fido” devices that attach directly to routers to extend coverage across roughly 5,000 square feet, enabling instant protection for small offices, retail sites, and remote locations.

The company has raised $3.38 million in funding across seed, debt, and private equity rounds, including an investment from Silver Rock Group. GuardDog continues to expand its focus on automated vulnerability management, CVE-based threat correlation, and simplified attack surface analytics for organizations with limited in-house security resources.
